Chef and restauranteur Juan Chipoco, the man behind mega-popular ceviche spot Cviche 105 (stylized as CVI.CHE 105) and rotisserie chicken eatery Pollos y Jarras, is adding to his restaurant collection with Intimo (stylized as INTI.MO), a Peruvian-Nikkei outpost located in the South of Fifth neighborhood at 840 1st Street.
The restaurant is a nod to Chipoco’s Incan heritage and showcases plenty of Peruvian and Japanese flavors. The extensive menu offers much to choose from including tataki, tiradito, ceviches, sushi rolls, and nigiris. Hot offerings include foie gras and gyoza and grilled octopus served with patatas bravas. For larger dishes think dishes like wagyu ribeye, short rib pappardelle, lomo saltado, black cod miso, and Peruvian corn cakes with spicy lobster. At the bar, guests can sip on classic Peruvian cocktails like the pisco sour, or opt for one of the wines from the large wine list.
WORK IN PROGRESS, full or artistic touches, eclectic fabrics patching, lots of pictures, plants, Juan's Chipoco's memories... is bringing this space to LIFE!
